The operator of Legit Pages is a company registered in the Netherlands.

What the site does

Legit Pages checks contractors against public license records and shows the result with the source and date of each fact. It is information, not advice. We do not perform or arrange work, we are not affiliated with the contractors we list, and a listing is not a recommendation.

Verify before you hire

Records change after we check them. Confirm a license directly with the California Contractors State License Board before you hire.

Use of the site

Use the site lawfully. Do not copy it at scale with automated tools, bypass access controls, or use it to harass anyone. Normal research use is welcome.

Content

Our texts, checks and design belong to the operator of Legit Pages. Facts from public records are not ours, and we do not claim them. You may quote short passages with a link to the page.

Liability

The site is provided as is. To the extent Dutch law permits, the operator of Legit Pages is not liable for indirect or consequential damage arising from use of the site, or for the work of any contractor listed on it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Law and courts

Dutch law applies. Disputes go to the competent court in The Hague (Zuid-Holland), the Netherlands. If you are a consumer, mandatory protections of your country of residence still apply.
